After affects of the Flu? Anyone ever hear of this?
This is what a NP told my husband that he has. Is this even possible? She said he had the flu and now the chronic coughing he has as well as just feeling like total poop is the after affects of the flu? I have never heard of this. Have any of you? Meanwhile, the cough suppressant is NOT working. He just took Nyquil instead which seemed to help more. He's on Avelox (Antibiotics).
I am really worried about him. He HAD to go into this morning at 2:00 bc his night guys called in. So, here I was at 2:00 a.m. shoveling the car out so that he can go into work!

When I was in HS and getting over the flu, I developed wheezing in my lungs and needed an inhaler! 
I hope he feels better soon! Of course this weather doesn't help!!!

Yes a cough and general yucky feeling can last several weeks from the flu.

thanks. Went to Dr. again and he prescribed Phenagin (sp) with Codeine for the hacking cough. He'll take that at night of course.
