Ignore my other post.... Working Parents

Those families that have a working Mom and Dad that have to leave early in the morning...how do you get your DC to school or pick them up if you can't do it yourself? I leave by 7 and would be home around 4. What do you do for that extra time with your DC? Are there centers that offer early or afternoon dropoff and pickups....like a daycare, etc. Are there any in the Wantagh, Levittown areas? I'm sorry if I am rambling, I'm just so anxious and clueless over this coming September. DD is in daycare now after her UPK so we dont have to worry... Next year we have an issue. TIA

look to daycare options in your district. I know there is a center in my district and some private preschools that do this.

does your district offer scope?

There are some daycare facilities in the district that the school bus stops at in the morning & afternoon.

The district also offers SCOPE - an after-school (and in some places, also before-school) program.

Why don't you call the Main Office at the school & ask if they can tell you the names of programs students go to?

You can also hire a sitter to come to your house to feed the kids breakfast and get them on the bus. You can also get a sitter for the afternoon. I know many families that do this. There are many people (college kids, grandmas) that would be interested in working a few hours a day/week.
