School Closings!
Just heard the fire alarm go off at 6 PM and 2 minutes later got the call our district (Harborfields) is closed!
Now just hoping that my work district calls early too!

We're closed too (neighboring district). I remember the 6 o'clock whistle...sigh... I also remember lobbying in student government to get the morning whistle changed to earlier because we were already up & doing our hair when it would go off. I swear it was like Legally Blonde.
So I called my sister's house & left a message saying in the same tone as the recorded message we just got...
"this is so&so from Superintendent ___'s office. It has come to our attention that a message went out erroneously informing parents that school was closed tomorrow. Please note, the ___ school district is open tomorrow. Repeat, the district is open. All students are expected to report to their schools on time....OR YOU WILL FAIL...."

Generally how late do they stop calling or how early in the am do they start? DH had an outpatient surgery today and he's worried they'll call at 3am and scare the bejesus out of him and he'll pop a stitch.  Typical melodramatic sick guy!

My home district is closed but the one I work in is open. I guess my kiddies will be starring in the Home Alone remake!

Three Village is closed but my kids are in private school and it hasnt been announced yet. I'm sure they'll close too though.

Last year we got the call at 3am.
