joint/bone pain after labor?
hi everyone, i started having joint pain during my pregnancy, which i hear is pretty common but now i am 2.5 months pp and the pain is worse now. my hands hurt when i try to open bottles or jars. my back hurts (which I assume is from picking up a 11 pound baby every day) and when i wake up in the morning and walk down the steps in my house my legs feel like they are going to give out.
Anyone familiar with this and if so, do you have any suggestions on what i should do? Is it normal pp stuff or should i go see a doctor/chiropractor?

I don't have personal experience with this, but I would definitely go see a doctor. Hope everything turns out just fine.
ETA: I would start with your regular doctor. He can do some prelimnary blood work and refer you to a rheumatologist (doctor who specializes in treating bone, joint and muscle disorders) if he needs to.

Re: joint/bone pain after labor?
I had severe bone and joint pain after I had my son. Turned out to be signs of hypothyroid....

Re: joint/bone pain after labor?
Thank you ladies. I was hoping it would resolve on its own but it only seems to be getting worse

OMG I have the same exact thing, I even posted about it on the pregnancy board. I am 1 month pp and my legs feel like I am 90 yrs old. I feel it in my lower back and arms as well. I guess its all par for the course, but it makes us feel better to know we are not alone and it seems pretty normal
