PLEASE tell me how to stop the CONSTANT sickness I can't take it anymore

Ever since my 3 yr old started preschool in Sept. he has been sick once a month. Then, he passes it on to my little DD then, inevitably I get something and then we have a week or two good and the cycle starts again. I am at my end with the sleep deprivation (my DS is the WORST sick patient EVER). Luckily, it hasn't ever been anything serious but, its enough that it is really difficult!

The thing is he NEVER got sick b/f school! Once a year usually maybe twice. I really think it is the lack of proper handwashing combined with the fact that he always has his hands in his nose or mouth and he goes every day so he is constantly bombarded. Oh and, my DD is a thumbsucker and is fully mobile and obsessed with my DS so it is literally impossible to keep them apart when he is sick.

Does anyone have any tips to stop this! I am at the point where I am beyone exhausted and, I am even embarrassed to call him in sick

Is the airbonne stuff safe for kids?

I have never taken it but i know its suppose to help?

OMG. I am so glad I am not the only one. I was actually going to post something similiar...although...DD is 4.5 and this is her 2nd year of pre k...and it is NOT any better this year! I figured it would be, but its the same if not worse. And on top of that...she has asthma so every little cold she picks up makes her very sick. Before she started school last year she was so healthy. Its so upsetting.

Have they been on a lot of antibiotics recently?

When I was sick of dealing with infection after infection (everything from ear to stomach viruses), I asked my health-food maniac sister for some help. She suggested a probiotic.

I double checked with my ped who said it was fine. I bought acidipholus in powder form & put it in juice (it has to stay cold).

I would ask your ped about it. I feel like that gave them the edge & boosted their immunity. Most health food stores have it but you need to find out what amount to give. Also be aware that it does loosen the stool so store up on some binding food (bananas & rice).

We are going through this now at my DD's preschool. Unfortunately it all comes down to parents sending their sick kids to school. I am anal about handwashing and disinfecting. No matter how clean we are or all the handwashing that goes on in school if a sick kid comes to school--it's airborne and then the nasty cycle begins. I just emailed our director today about my concerns and she is sending out a memo on the protocol of keeping sick kids home. Since Sept my DD has had a nasty bout of strep, croup and now a stomach virus....its just disgusting!!!

I know this doesn't help now, but it will be better when they get to Kindergarten. DS hasn't been out once in K (he got sick over the vacation of course - from his cousin)

otherwise live with wipes. I do this at school...I am constantly wiping down counters, keyboards, chairs, handle on the door, etc
