Did you run Jones Beach today? I was there, looked for you, but between going back to the car and registering, I didn't see you. Hope you had a great race if you did. It was windy, so not an easy run.

Yes I was there! I looked for you too. It was definitely one of my worst races ever. My time was slower than the 5K jog I did around my neighborhood on the hills last week. LOL. I wanted to quit the whole time and I'm surprised I actually finished. It was freezing!
How did you do? Are you running next week? I am already dreading running in the cold again. I don't know what I was thinking when I signed up!
It was actually my DH's first race ever and only 3rd time running that distance, and he did great... so it was worth it.

I did fine, not a PR, but better than last week. The cold doesn't bother me, but the wind does. It is challenging doing these winter races at the beach, all you can do is get out there and put one foot in front of the other!! I'm sure you'll do better next week. Right now, I plan on going. Robert Moses is close by, so I would like to. Congrats to your DH, is he doing all of them with you?

Yes, I asked DH to sign up with me half joking, and he said "okay" He is not a runner but he is active is all other sports, so he had no problem jumping right in. It is so hard to run with him because one of his steps is like 3 of mine.
My time was like 2 minutes slower than normal. I am not treating them as races but just another workout. I am totally focused on Insanity right now and just cannot deal with the cold, wind, and the soreness from insanity.
Maybe we'll see eachother next week!

I keep asking my DH to run a race and he hasn't yet. Don't worry about your time, the weather conditions haven't exactly helped. I was over a minute slower at Heckscher than I was at Jones Beach, so don't be surprised if you kick butt at the next one!
