Re: When do you know "it's time"..
I have seen your posts. You sound like me. I was in a career I was not meant to be in. I had always longed to do something else but got side tracked and eventually built a career. It was lucrative and I did like it for a while. I was never happy and I moved from company to company climbing the latter but never catching a break. Just unhappy all the time. Finally I realized if you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem. So after careful thought and planning I finally decided enough is enough. I made that change. This summer I left my career and focused on going to school full time to do what I was meant to do. I love it. Life is different but I would not change one day of it.
Good luck to you. I hope that you find something you love to do or find a place that you can be happy within your current career.

Thank you I know exactly what you mean..I am in HR but have been unhappy for a LONG time and I think my next move needs to be something different. I have a degree in Business and 10 years of corporate experience. I know I could be happier doing somehting else...I am miserable now...and if you look up posts from a few years ago from me I was miserable THEN. It's a cycle. And it's time for a change.

Re: When do you know "it's time"..
It was a cycle, for me it was 10 years, five companies. Although, I bettered myself with every move there was always something missing. What do you like to do? Do you have any interests? I know you have a baby, so our situations are a little different. But I have a house, so I took a huge leap of faith. It is hard but I told my DH being miserable is so unhealthy and I do not want that any more in my life.

Re: When do you know "it's time"..
I posted about my job & some of the headaches on Sunday. I have had a feeling that it's been time to leave for a while, but then something good happens at work, co-worker having a baby, my boss being really great, etc & I go back to being happy. Then all of a sudden a tidal wave hits & I am miserable again.
This time around, my job is affecting my marriage big time & prior to our wedding DH & I both promised each other that we rather live happily in a cardboard box then miserably in a mansion.
Good Luck.
