Does your cat eat wet and dry food?

Do they eat both? Like do you leave out dry food all day then once a day feed them a can of wet food? Or are your cats only on one or the other?

We have 2 cats..one will eat anything and everything. So he gets dry food all day and half a can of wet food at night.

Our other one started out this way, but with time he went from eating all flavors of wet food to a specific type (primavera only) but would eat tuna, chicken or turkey flavor. To now he doesnt eat any wet food! He tries to bury it! Im worried if this is abnormal, I even tried different brands and everything. BUT He eats the dry food like its no problem. Is he just weird? LOL

They dont call cats finicky for nothing. Sushi started off eating all kinds of wet...then started not eating certain ones...which forced me to find the ones she liked...then she decided she didnt like THOSE and settled on only one that she liked...THEN they stopped selling it...which is when she stopped eating wet all together

my cat only likes dry food and real meats
i do try to give him some wetfood here and there.. and he'll eat it but its not his favorite..

Omg thank you! both your posts made me feel better about his pickiness! I was thinking something was wrong that Im depriving him. Phew! Crazy Cats!

I have one cat that absolutely will NOT eat wet food. He never would. He's on a prescription dry food (for other reasons) and doing fine. Wet food is best, but doesn't work for every cat. As long as he's eating, drinking, and healthy, I wouldn't stress over it.

My cat mostly eats dry food. We put down dry food in the morning and she nibbles throughout the day. At dinner, we put down some wet food and add water to it because she likes to drink the gravy. By the morning, the gravy is gone, but at least half, if not more, of the wet food is still there.

My cat ate dry food with her first family. I added wet food and dry food for her. She started eating the wet food. But now she just licks all the juices out of the wet food and eats her dry food.

i actually mix a little dry food with the wet food, she eats twice a day.

Hades eats dry food in the morning and wet and dry food in the evening.

I feed her once a day and I mix the wet and dry together..

I feed them twice a day and they get dry food.

Sometimes Bella gets potato chips..that kitty loves them!

But really, for treats we give them litty treats and turkey and chicken for the most part in very small amounts.

When I first adopted my cat as a kitten, the woman I got her from told me "I have never seen a cat attack wet cat food the way this cat does"...

So, because of this, my cat gets a half can of wet food in the morning, half can at night and I leave dry food out for her during the day.

Not all cats eat wet food. Our vet told us that some cats like hard food because it reminds them of eating the bones of an animal (awesome ) so they're not interested in wet. Nothing to worry about.

we give them both. the dry food is out all day- and we feed them wet food twice a day- once in the morning and once at night (small portions though)
