How does everyone feel at 29 points/day...just curious!

I am on day 5 of the WW points plus.

I like it. I definitely feel like i am eating more than on the old program though. I know carbs are higher, so i am backing off on too much bread...but i still feel full most days. I just wonder about the fruit/veggies being free. I never have more than 3 servings/day but even still, i feel like i'm eating too much.

I weigh in on sat. morning so we'll see!

Just curious as to what everyone thinks!!

No! There isn't a limit. However I've read that a lot of people are going crazy with the fruit and have gained or maintained which makes sense...if you eat 2 apples and 2 bananas a day, thats about 400 calories in just fruit.

I know the point is to get people to start eating fruit and veggies...and like they say "no one ever got fat off of overdosing on fruit".

I just limit my own intake, b/c I feel like the 29 is a lot of points to begin with...but maybe its easier the first week..i'm sure i'll get to a week where its not enough!!

OH and they say to eat fruit and veggies until you feel satisfied...don't know if that helps!

Actually the good health guidelines suggest we have 5-6 servings of fruits and/or veggies a day.

While yes it's true that you shouldn't "test" the program and have a dozen bananas in a day, WW has built the additional calories for the 0PP fruits and veggies into the program.

Remember, chances are you're not on WW because you were eating too many bananas. Chat Icon

on the old program i was hardly making 18 pts so i by now means eat 29 pts worth.....so weird

I feel like 29 points is just the right amount of food for me! I'm not starving or stuffing my face either. I feel like I'm eating much healthier on the new plan.

I'm diggin' it. Only on day three here, but I was on WW Points and Core a couple of years ago and maintained very well on Core until I just decided to let the holidays and a recent vacation take over my willpower.

I went back because I wanted more structure than Core gave me.

I loooooove that I don't have to count fruit and (most) veggies. That was one thing that irritated me with Points...I had 18 Points a day and I hated that I'd "spend" 3-5 Points on fruit alone...which is what drove me toward the Core program.

But I digress.

I love the new program so far. When the time comes, I *might* do the switch over to their Simply Filling style of the program, but for now, I need the structure to get myself back on track.

It feels weird to have 29 Points Plus/day, but then again, it's weird that bread that was 2 points/serving is now 3 Points Plus/serving, so it kind of all balances out in the longrun, I guess.

My only complaint...booze went up! Chat Icon But then again, when I follow WW hardcore, I'm a lightweight anyway so it's good for the wallet and my body.

That being said, I earned myself 3 APs shoveling this morning and I think I'll be cashing them in tonight toward a beer or some wine. Chat Icon

I HATE that beer is as high as it is!! I love my drinks on the weekend...but, that is why i save my 49 extra points and bank the activity to have some on the weekend..I hope i see a nice loss on saturday, i've been tracking every day and running at the gym. One can hope!

Not everyone has 29 PP. The daily PP targets range from 29 to 71.

As for calculating PP values of foods, it's now based off of protein, fat, fiber and carbs.

I have 37 points and I feel like I eat like a pig just to eat them all. So much so that I hardly tap into the extra 49

Sorry! I thought for some reason everyone had 29. I could have sworn the leader at my meeting said that but I prob half heard her!!

I like it better then the old plan. I am eating more, thats for sure but, def more fruits now. Im actually trying to fill in the rest of my PTs now.
