What is the deal with kettle bells?
How are they different than dumb bells?
What types of fitness gains have you seen after using them?
If you use them - please share your workouts, and information on them...

Re: What is the deal with kettle bells?
I did a kettle bell class at Equinox and it was HARDCORE!!!! i couldnt tell u all the specifics but they are def different that regular bells and the workout was intense.
this is the description on my gym site The ultimate in cutting edge strength training, cast iron bells are used to develop the correct blend of strength with flexibility for maximum fat burning and muscular endurance. Shred your mid section, tone your legs and strengthen your back while pushing your cardio capacity to the limit.

it melts fat - you have to grip it differently and I think that kettlebell workouts are just more efficient at working the muscles - improves your endurance.
i can't remember the names of any of the exercises i do with them because i do kb work with my trainer but you could find a bunch on youtube.
FM Kitty - she uses them.
there's going to be a kettlebell convention in NYC probably in September. FM me - you should go if you can, even for just a day.

I use kettlebells with my trainer and in boot camp- we do alot of workouts you can't o with dumbbells (mainly because of their shape and how you grip them). I always get a great workout using them.
