Riddle me this...
I just came back from vacation, where I took a week long break from my running/cardio routine, and completely and totally ENGORGED myself with food.
We got back on Monday evening, and I went right back into my routine, and right back into my eating habits.
Now, for a good 4-6 weeks my weight has been at a complete standstill at about 135lbs, no movement whatsoever, no matter what I do.
And yet, despite my engorgement and lack of exercise last week, the scale has FINALL budged 3lbs.
What???! Is that the secret to weight loss once you hit a plateau, to just take a week long break and eat like a pig and sit on a beach and do nothing?!

That's definitely happened to me. I think the change effects how your metabolism works. Either way, it's awesome!

I thought for sure the scale was going up after Christmas! I went to weigh in and I was DOWN! I was my head on that one for a while! LOL I LOVE surprises like that!

I've had that happen to me too! I just think the lack of exercise and change in diet for a few days just switches up your metabolism someway!

Yup, it has happened to me as well!
I think your body just needs a break to kind of reset...
everyone needs a cheat once in a while!

Re: Riddle me this...
I lost quite a bit of weight a few years ago when I took a long break - our body needs time to recover... a break is GOOD for the body - and although you ate more than you usually do, you probably didn't eat as much as you think - not enough to really gain....
