WW? Frozen Vegetables aren't "free"
From an article on the WW Website:
3. Frozen vegetables A no-brainer, and no one's freezer should be without them. Stock your favorites, from broccoli to spinach (which can improve everything from soup to pasta). Frozen vegetables can last up to one year, so it's no sweat to keep all the ingredients necessary for an instant, colorful stir-fry. Or, add them to a quick vegetable soup, like minestrone.
Serving size: 1/2 cup PointsPlus value: 1
Is only fresh produce 0 pts?

Technically, it's true. Only FRESH fruits and veggies are zero PP per serving. But none of us are n WW because we ate too many frozen veggies

Some of the green giant 'just for one' frozen veggies are 0 points, I just bought them yesterday and I am pretty sure they are point plus value, i can double check when i get home

Re: WW? Frozen Vegetables aren't "free"
This makes no sense at all to me. As long as they're not prepared in some type of sauce, the nutritional value of the frozen veggies should be the same as the fresh.
I eat mostly frozen vegetables, particularly in the winter time when fresh veggies aren't available locally. I am definitely not about to start counting how many brussels sprouts are on my dinner plate!

Re: WW? Frozen Vegetables aren't "free"
For starters, they assume that if it's fruit and it's not fresh then it's canned in syrup. If it's canned in syrup there's extra sugar.
For veggies, if they're frozen mixed veggies you can guess that there are carrots, peas and corn in it - all starchy veggies which do have a PP value.
But again, I'm sure none of you are going to meetings because you ate too many carrots.

LOL I see you've been drinking the WW Kool-aid My leader said the SAME THING and I live in NC. I love how WW comes up with these tag lines to take the focus off things that don't make sense in the new PP program.

YUP, I've been drinking it since 2006....I'm a leader
And that's not just because of the new program........I've NEVER believed that anyone went to WW because they ate too much frozen broccoli. THAT doesn't make much sense. Same reason I always counted a banana as one point instead of 2 on the old programs.........because again, I didn't have 50 pounds to lose because I ate too many bananas
