Who watched the Westminster Kennel Club Show?

I like all dogs, but it seems like it's always the little pretty dogs that win the dogs shows - or a lab or german shepherd - and it made me so happy to see a working dog win - a Scottish deerhound - not the prettiest dog out there, but a real worker.

The working group is really my favorite - I love the big dogs!!! I did tear up a bit when the Anatolian Shepherd came out - reminded me of my Schultzie boy.

I watched the sporting group...my favorite! I have it on the DVR to watch best in show tonight. I am into dog shows though. I would imagine it might be kind of boring for someone who is not. My husband cannot understand how I can sit and watch them. (Or go to them for that matter!) It's much more fun when you're entered though! I am always looking at topline, movement, rears, fronts, expression, and sooo much more of each dog. I was a little disappointed they didn't do more shots of the dogs stacked in a lineup though. I couldn't take off this year but I think I am going to go next year. I haven't gone to Westminster to watch in a few years. :o)

I was NOT happy that the black cocker or the pekingese won. But to asnwer your question, yes, we watch it. I LOVE the announcers comments (This breed is sweet and loving but can be quite impish! or This breed trains its owners rather than them training it!)
