I am a massage therapist. I chose to be a massage therapist after 15 years in the Corporate World.

Why? I help people feel better. I love interacting with PG women and their babies, I can work as much or as little as I want, I make very good money doing it.

I always knew i would be in the arts because I really couldn't do much of anything else. So I went from Photography to Graphic Design since I thought I could make more money. Then as things to started to go bad I went from a small mom and pop shop that I was thinking of buying (print shop) to a state job because I needed security. My husband's job is no union, no raises, work like a dog for really pennies so I had to have something. BUT the plus is now I am doing photography here as well so its kinda cool.

I am a personal assistant...this job is what I was petrified to end up doing when I was in HS. I am here right now b/c I decided to go back to school to become a teacher and yes, we all know what the chances are for me to find a job doing that.

I fell into my first few jobs and eventually became an event coordinator. After getting fired from 2 back to back coordinator jobs, I realized this wasn't for me and honestly hated every min of it.

My dreams in HS were to be on Broadway. I didn't have what it took so I kinda just decided that my life would s*&k no matter what moving forward (gotta love the over dramatic attitude ) so what did it matter what I did?

IDK what I am going to do....I get paid currently better than I ever have BUT I think w/my education and experience I should be making at least 15K more per year but, I have a job that doesn't take much brain power (very annoying), doesn't stress me out (holla), great ppl & bosses (such a blessing) but of course, its not what I want to do w/the rest of my life.

So where does this leave me? No where...I'm on the cusp of graduating from my Masters program w/no education jobs in sight except for those that would cause me to take a 75% pay cut that DH & I cant afford....and such, is life

I am a forensic accountant. I have an accounting/finance background but work on fraud and litigation cases such as Madoff, Lehman Bankruptcy, etc.

I found this career after getting bored in Auditing (I worked at a Big 4 Accounting Firm). In my current position, I work with lawyers to perform damages calculations and do financial investigation work on their cases. My work is extremely interesting and I love that I do something different each day.

I am a Nanny/ Babysitter for two wonderful kids. Im there 5 days a week. I graduated with my BA in Sociology. I wanted to go back for social work and then decided to go for teaching. I have my Masters in Elementary Education and am certified PreK-6. I was a substitute teacher for many years on Long Island doing leave replacements here and there. They don't keep permanent subs for longer then two years at some long island schools so when my time was up I was desperate for something. My friend asked me to watch her two kids and I did, it was a rough experience because she was crazy. After 3 years I left and went back to subbing. I was not getting called that much so I wrote on my Facebook page that I missed watching kids and a friend from the school I was subbing at asked me to watch her kids. I have been with her for almost a year and I love the family I work for. I don't get paid that much and I don't get paid for summers, vacations or snow days. I also work part time at Huntington Learning Center which I do some Saturdays and the summers.
I love my job and the family I work for. I think that sometimes if your patient the right job just falls in your lap.
