Need some workout help
7 months post partum and I'm still fat....yes, 30 pounds need to come off. I've lost about 7 pounds and I'm busting my azzzzzzzz but no results.
My workout is this: Monday - 1 hour spin class Tuesday - off Wednesday - 1.5 hour cardio box class Thursday - off Friday - 30 min. tread, 30 min elliptical
Usually I try to take the kids for a walk on my off days if its not too hot. I'm watching what I eat and only splurge once in awhile and even then its a small portion.
Am I doing something wrong......the belly is just NOT going away and neither is the rest of my fat. I HATE the way I look - I've never been this gross in my life. Any suggestions?

Re: Need some workout help
I'm not a workout guru like most are here, but I absolutely love the TransFIRMer...I've seen results in such a short time and it's a fun workout. Let me know if you're interested in more info.

Re: Need some workout help
My diet is lean meat, salads, soup, veggies and nothing "white" (I do have pasta but only once every 2 weeks). Any treat I have is either a 100 calorie pack of oreos or a WW fudge bar.
Should I add a yoga class along with some weight training?

Re: Need some workout help
Unless you're making soup from scratch, ditch it. Canned soup isn't very nutritious and usually has too much fat and sodium.
You may not be eating enough calories. If you're eating salad, it should a little bit of greens (spinach or red leaf lettuce), some veggies, but mostly protein, like chicken, hardboiled eggs, tuna...... And like snowboardgirl said, you're focusing too much on cardio and not enough on weight training. I'm 2 months PP and do heavy weight training and very little cardio (only about 20 minutes 3x a week). Heavy weight training is the key....

Re: Need some workout help
Yes, soups are homemade.....usually WW ones. I do eat "fat" as I use olive oil, butter and definitely don't starve myself. If I want it I eat it....just in moderation.
I'm going to add some Pilates/Yoga and some weights.....I do enjoy weight lifting but of course the dumb azzzz trainer at the gym basically said cardio to get rid of the ppartum flabbo tummy.
I also like doing crunches on the ball.....its much less stress on my back and for some reason I feel my abs working so much more when I do them. We do crunches in the boxing class too so I just need to round my routine a bit more with weights.

Re: Need some workout help
That sounds good. If you can do more weight training though, you'll see results much faster. Just make sure you're taking in enough lean protein, and use weights that are heavy enough where you can complete only about 6 - 8 reps before you can't do another rep (just make sure to do a couple of warm-up sets first).
And ditch your trainer
