my D&C results are in (update)
they tested the tissue, I got a voicemail yesterday. I didn't get it until the office was closed and now I have to wait all weekend to call my doctor back because they're not open on weekends. The curiosity is killing me.
update: I spoke to my dr today. There was a chromosomal abnormality. There was an extra 2 chromosome. I don't know if I'm saying that right. I'm sort of relieved.

Sounds like "Trisomy 22".
That's what happened to us.
My Dr. explained it to me like this...
We all have 46 chromosomes (23 from mom and 23 from dad)
Either your egg or DH's sperm had an extra #22 chromosome so when they joined, the embryo had 3 (instead of 2) #22 chromosome and that always ends in miscarriage.
He said that it is vey common and it's just a fluke. Don't have to worry that you are doomed to have it keep happening.

I hope it gives you some sort of closure.
My results came back normal. I still don't have a reason "why". There could be something with "me" that caused it to happen. I had testing done but I am still waiting for the results. In the meantime all I can do is try again and hope for the best.
I wish I knew why we lost our baby. Not knowing is very hard. I totally understand your relief in finding an answer.
