Selling bib numbers for LI half?

I know in other races you can sell your bib # (I've seen it happen alot on Runner's World, especially when races get sold out).

I already paid for the L.I Half and have a number. I won't be able to do it. I paid before the price went up ($40), but I would sell my number for less.

Anyone know if they allow that for the LI Half? Also would anyone be interested in buying my number from me?

I just tried looking on their site and the application and did not see anything about it. I honestly do not know. Your best bet is to just contact them directly and ask. I know you probably could switch to a shorter distance before race day, but not sure about selling your number and transferring the name. Most races do not allow this; I know the Marines Corps Marathon did allow this (not sure if they still do).

If it were me, I'd just call or e-mail them. The worst thing they will say is no.

I have to say that most races won't let you transfer bib numbers. Not sure about LIHM though.
