veganism
Hi everyone... I am on a medically supervised fast right now which means just shakes. I have lost 44 pounds in 7 weeks. This week is the half way pound so I need to start deciding what I want to do when I am off the fasting portion (still supervised by a doctor though). I am thinking of going vegan. I have a slew of health problems and since the fast (no lactose) I feel amazing! I have begun to exercise and enjoy life.
Anyone a vegan that would mind sharing insight or guidance? I love cheese and eggs so I'm worried about giving them up but I truly believe I might have an allergy.
Thanks

Re: veganism
I think you should read 2 books for the best information:
Skinny B itch Crazy Sexy Diet
That has endless amounts of information...
while I have been a vegan for over 15 yrs, I have been eating a fage yogurt everyday, so I can't say I'm vegan anymore
Other than that, I live a pretty vegan lifestyle in terms of eating, so if you have any questions, I would love to help!

Re: veganism
My mom has recently switched to a low fat/no fat vegan diet for health reasons. Check out these cookbooks for ideas. So far she really likes the happy herbivore cookbook.
