Therapist recommendations w/update
Hi ladies. I am new to this board but used to be on the LIW 09 board. I lost my baby in October. I was 15 weeks and she had a chromosonal abnormality. I am still not feeling like myself. My dh suggested that I seek out a therapist that has a background in issues like miscarriage. We are trying to conceive but it is overwhelming. I would appreciate any referals for a good therapist. I live in Suffolk county. Thanks in advance for your help.
Update:  I am pregnant and couldn't be more excited! Praying for a happy and healthy nine months. I got my BFP about a week after I posted this originally. God is faithful.

I just lost my son last month at 16 weeks, I understand! I've been looking also. I've had a ton of people with support groups that meet once a month, I'm just not ready for that yet.. or maybe I am... not really sure! I did go see a therapist, he's in Syosset, not sure how i feel about it yet. I also have a card that my RE gave me who is a part of their practice. Let me know if you want any of the info!! i have a therapist in massapequa but not specificaly for miscarrige. i love her but she doesnt accpet insurance i pay out of pocket but can give you a bill to submit to insurance.
she doesn counseling and medication if needed :) fm if you want her contact number.

I have a wonderful and understanding therapist in Patchogue that I've been seeing for almost a year...just shared my miscarriage news with him this afternoon and he really made me feel better...as better as I can feel right now. His name is Gregory Lewis and he's on main street in Patchogue. FM me if you want the #.
