Disappointed lately in weight loss progress
This week I lost .2. I'm not going to say only because I am of the mind set that any loss is good. But I am disappointed in the fact that for the last month I've lost about a pound. I am incredibly proud of what I have accomplished so far. 78 pounds is so much more then I ever thought I would be able to do. And not only have I lost 78 pounds but I am fit, in shape, I feel amazing and am happy with the most part with how I look.
My issue is this, I have about 18-20 pounds to go to be at my ideal weight. I REALLY want to hit that goal by the start of the summer but I feel like time is running out for me to hit that goal I have set. Don't get me wrong, if I'm 3-4 pounds away from it at the start of the summer I will be so happy. But at this rate I'm going to be 15 pounds away from it at the start of the summer and that's disappointing to me. I know I have come so far and I have so much to be proud of but I really want to at least be close to this goal by the start of the summer. To lose .2 on a week where I ate really well, went to the gym 6 days and tracked everyday is so disappointing to me. And on top of it I had my period at last week's weigh in so this really should have been at least .8 to a pound. I'm at the point now where I know it's going to be harder every week but like I said to lose about 1 pound over a month is getting frustrating to me.
I just wanted to vent and share my feelings with you ladies. I know there are going to be good weeks and bad weeks but it gets hard when you have a few bad weeks in a row.

Plateaus are the worst...here's a big hug
You've done awesome so far (which I'm sure you know already!). Everyone says the last few pounds are always the hardest.
What I find, when I hit a plateau, I completely change what I eat. For example, the first week WW introduced their new plan I lost 5.4 lbs in ONE week (keep in mind, I'm lifetime and at goal...so I didn't even have much to lose). But I would say its mostly in part because I ate completely different than normal.
My advice would be to try all new (but good for you) foods for a week. There are great recipes and food ideas on here. I think a change in what you eat really helps with a plateau...otherwise your body just becomes used to your other food.
Good luck and great job on the 78lbs!

Re: Disappointed lately in weight loss progress
Have you been measuring yourself? If you're working out 6 days a week, it's entirely possible your weight loss is at a standstill but you're losing inches and toning up.
With that said:
Tips for a plateau:
* Make sure you're still following the plan. Are you counting and tracking food intake accurately? Are you still weighing and measuring? Are you tracking your activity? Are you eating filling, satisfying, healthy foods?
If all of these are being done properly, change things up. Change your food choices, activity choices, etc.

Re: Disappointed lately in weight loss progress
Thank you everyone for the encouragement and advice. It really means a lot to me. I have been doing everything right which is why it's frustrating to me right now. There are weeks where I know I am bad and if I gain or don't lose much on those weeks I move on. But this week in particular I did everything right.
I know I need to change things up and that's what I am going to try to do. And I do feel as if I am gaining muscle so that may very well be what my "problem" is. I'm planning on taking an exercise class this weekend instead of doing the ellipitical one day to try to change up some exercise. I am determined to get to my goal and I know I will at some point but I really want to get there by the summer.

I agree with the others - sounds like it's time to change things up with your eating and exercising. Try something new at the gym and eat some new, but healthy foods. Plateaus are the worst!!

Most importantly, how are your clothes fitting?

My clothes are definitely fitting me so much better. I am constantly amazed at the sizes I can wear. I still have a belly but I will always have one, it's just the way God made me. My doctor told me I could do 500 crunches a day and I'm going to always have that little pouch. It stinks, but what can you do?
