i considered it but honestly, i'm so busy attending board meetings, i don't have time for rallies. i would get nothing done.
there's a big push from my union to go.

There's a HUGE push in my district for people to go, but I can't. DH doesn't get home early enough to pick DS up at daycare and I can't make it there, home, and Hofstra by 6 if a babysitter came. So, no for me. I hope people do go. Wisconsin makes me nervous!

Same.
DC's have been home sick for 4 days now.
DH just started a new job in NYC and gets home at 7.
This week my MIL has been taking care of DC's during the day. She's getting worn out. I can't ask her to stay from 6am until 9pm.
I plan on going to as many board meetings as I can, in both in the district where I teach and live.

I went and I have to say that it was a pretty incredible event. There were tons of people and lots of great speakers. It was really great to see people coming together to support a worthy cause. Our union got us a bus and I went on the bus which made it a lot easier and more fun. I will definitely attend other rallies in the future. I plan on going to the next BOE meeting too!

This is my question, and sorry if it is ignorant...who was there to see the rally besides the teachers? Was there anyone from the gov's office or any other political figures there?
