I guess I'm moving through the different stages, and now I'm trying to diagnose myself. The dr. just said it was a chemical pregnancy, but I'm curious if my LP played a role. I usually had a 13 day LP, but the cycle before my mc it was only 11 days.
Has anyone taken B6 to lengthen their LP and/or is there any reason anyone knows of NOT to take it?
an 11 day LP is fine. I think under 10 is more of a cause for concern.
But, if you are concerned about anything, then you should ask the dr to test you for things. It's usually just some blood tests they run to start off with. If he/she is unwilling...go to another dr. There are plenty of dr's who would be willing to run some tests.
I think some girls on TTC or IF may have tried the B6 thing. You should ask there.
Unfortunately chemical pregnancies and miscarriages are quite common, just because so many things can go wrong. Because of this, a lot of dr's tend to overlook the first chemical pregnancy or miscarriage.
I honestly think, in this case, you just might not have an answer. Unless there is something physically wrong with you and they can test you to find it... I don't know that you are going to find the answers you are searching for. Having a chemical or even a miscarriage does not indicate there is a problem with you or that it will happen again. Please take some comfort in knowing that. Do not drive yourself crazy trying to find an answer or a fix.
I know it's very difficult to go through this experience..... and there is a part of you that wants to search for answers. But sometimes there just aren't any answers.
