Update 7/20/06

7/20/06

Okay so things are moving along with the follies. They are measuring between 12-16 mm. I am hoping for retrival early next week! I have been really sick to my stomach in the mornings. I don't know if it is the meds or the prenatals. I asked the dr. and he told me "eat crackers" b/c we can't stop the meds or the prenatals right now! He cracks me up! Back to the Dr. on Saturday!

Trudging along in the heat! Drs office was EMPTY today! Dr. Chang said "You have lots of follicles, we need to watch this very closely" So, still the same medication (150 of follistim and 10 of Lupron) Hoping for retrival early next week.

Oh, DH came home today and says "Bill wants to send me to Boston next week" I reply, "Thats great, but your sperm is needed here...send someone else!"

Okay, well something must be in the water with these drs after reading T's post. UGH!!!! I go in today for a 10:30 appt. The waiting room is packed and this obnoxious amazon of a woman (who is also cycling with me (annoying) was having a good old loud conversation with people in the waiting room about her 10 year struggle with IVF and PCOS. Now, I can feel her pain b/c that is me as well but, she has no couth or class. And it is just too early to be dealing with her big mouth!

Anyway, Dr. is not there. This is the covering Dr. the drs alternate Saturdays and the dr. who I don't like was there today! UGH! He shows up at 11:45! I didn't get out of there until almost 1:00. This is just not acceptable to me!

So after 4 days on Follistim, no follies yet! I am also starting to get some brusing on my thighs! I think it is time to move into the belly!

I have to go back on Monday! Yeah! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Yes, that woman had NO CLASSChat Icon You would think people would be on their best behavior and act sensitive in an RE waiting roomChat Icon It's probably one of the most emotionally charged places on the planet.

I'm sorry no follies yet. I know with me mine were very small for the first couple of days and then they kinda had a growth spirt. I think the doctor was a bit Chat Icon the first few days and judging by his reaction now (the one that has been monitoring me the most has no personality... I don't know how to relate as me and DH are just too goofballs) he was a bit "Woah, they've really caught up". I'm really hoping the same for you.

PCOS is weird... one dosage might not produce anything then if they up it the slightest bit it can be enough to produce tons and tons of follies... even some women can go from nothing to be in danger of hyperstimulation.

Let's hope they wake up... I'm gonna to the wake up ovaries shout...

HOping for a successful retrieval!

And Yeah, he needs to send someone else!

My husband's schedule is so complex and is always out of town....I could only imagine how it is going to be once we start the IVF process.
