I'm 61. I have had ear issues since I was a child. I was tested for everything that could be causing my infections, and saw a specialist who declared that the inside of my ears looked like the Battle of Gettysburg had been fought in them, because they were so scarred, from infections. He said he would not put tubes in my ears, because it was a miracle I could hear, and putting tubes in, could jeopardize my hearing. I was tested for allergies, and have a lot of them. For a time, I got allergy injections, but when I was 21, I stopped them, because I was still getting ear infections, and did not feel they were helping me. Forward about 40 yrs. I don't get ear infections, but my eustachian tubes are clogged a lot of the time. My hearing is normal, when my ears aren't closed!! I take a 25mg. Benadryl every night. I cannot use Sudafed, or any med that increases my blood pressure. I try not to aggravate my allergies. Tell me your experience!! Mary
