anyone interested in 2 Parakeets?
The place we're moving to doesn't allow any pets so I need to find a home for my 2 parakeets (also including their cage, food & toys)
They are both about 2 years old. They know when the lights go off it's sleep time! and they do not come out of the cage. One is blue & the other is yellow.
FM if you are interested.
Thank you!

I would double check, because even though they say "no pets" it usually doesn't apply to birds and fish.

I know, I thought the same thing.
And I think the AP is right - I think birds and fish - and sometimes even cats are excluded. Usually they are cagey about dogs and larger animals.

Birds are generally not included in the NO Pets clause you should speak to the landloard.

Re: Anyone interested in 3 Parakeets?
I would be careful and leery to give birds away for free to just anyone. There are sickos out there who will take ANY free animal and do very cruel things. And there are also people who just take anything that's free. If you care about your birds well being, please make sure they go to a loving home. They are so cute and they deserve to be wanted and well taken care of.
In addition, are you even sure they can't come with you to your new place?

Wow. Well that's really a shame.

Re: Anyone interested in 3 Parakeets?
Birds freak me out (sorry guys), however, I've known so many people who have found apartments that allow birds. Is going to a different apartment an option?
Also, a lot of landlords are getting with the times now and just asking for an extra deposit or amount per month to have pets.
I would consider that route before just giving up a pet.

it's not an apartment. we're in contract with a co-op and i'm not giving up the deal we got. Plus I don't want to have my birds around my newborn baby when she's born.

Why wouldn't you want house pet birds (that live in a cage) around a baby might I ask? Are they harmful to babies?
As I said above, if you care even the smallest amount about your birds, please do not give them away to strangers and be LEERY of craigslist and other sites, because some very cruel person may lie to you and take your "free"birds and use them as live bait or do other cruel things to them. They don't deserve a fate like that so please do the right thing as their owner and find them a safe loving home.

Thats my own personal choice. I'm trying to find them a good home cuz I do love them which is why i'm posting it on here and not on craigslist.
