Certified Humane Raised vs Organic
What the difference?
is it just that the food the animal fed is organic?
is there more to this?

No expert, but the first Certified Humane Raised usually means they are cageless, treated humanly, sometimes are not shot up with hormones and such. Organics means nothing artificial has been given to the animals and pay to have the USDA certified them. Some of the Certified Humane Raised animals may be organic, but did not get the certification from the USDA. Best bet is too find out why the CHR is not organic. Some places will tell you and generally the main reason is the cost to get certified. It is very expensive which generally only large companies can afford.

yes.
when something is
certified organic , everything from their environs to their feed etc must be organic. but organic feed doesn't necessarily mean they roam the earth freely either. and some certified humane raised may be enjoying sun filled strolls over clover plains but cannot be certified b/c their farm has just turned over from conventional.
and sometimes, especially for long standing farms and establishments, even though they've convered to organic ways, their land could still have some residual soil issues.
at the end of the day, you have to take each purveyor and study them individually and do what you can with what you know and what you are comfortable with.
