TB
Dh was exposed to someone who was just tested positive for TB. Now Dh is in a uproar that we all have it. He is going to the doctor tomorrow to get the test done. Is there nething to do in the mean time. We have a 5month old baby is there any symptoms I should look for in the baby or us?

Re: TB
Really no need to worry. When I worked at an EMT, I was exposed 2 times. Never had an issue...It is scary....But I think you will all be ok...

Re: TB
Don't panic, I'm sure its going to be fine.
I have been exposed so many times to patients with ACTIVE TB and I have never turned positive.
First off, what do you mean by "exposed". You were in the presence of someone with a + PPD or you lived with someone who has active TB, coughing around your family all day every day? Most of the people I have seen who have TB are from out of the country, living with people from out of the country, homeless people.
Many people have a + PPD and do not have TB.
Symptoms are bloody sputum, night sweats, fevers.

Re: TB
I had a positive ppd this year and had no symptoms. Had to take an antibiotic. I don't know where I was exposed but my DS and DH didn't have it!
