WW Mentality - maybe I'm going about this all wrong...
Just wondering how you guys approach this whole weight watchers thing. I try to eat food with the least amount of points all the time. I find it very stressful and almost hate when I'm hungry because of the stress it all brings. I don't want to go out to eat because I know everything is high in points. I need a new perspective and was hoping you guys could share yours!
TIA!

It can be very difficult and I've defintely been in that position.
I do go out to eat- but I try to find places that have lower points options. Sometimes I dont even worry about the points and treat myself!
I find planning to be key in WW. If I know I'm having a big dinner high in points, I'll plan to have lower points breakfast, lunch and snacks. If my dinne will be low, I can eat a snack highe in points.
I always have a cheat day which helps me (works for people, not others). I've been doing it since I first started the plan and dont feel deprived.

Re: WW Mentality - maybe I'm going about this all wrong...
I keep on track by planning almost all my meals and my snacks. I bring my breakfast, lunch and snacks to work with me every day.
I also know that my dinner depend on my what my MIL cooks. I know they aren't always the healthiest meals so I try to leave a decent amount of points for dinner. If I have some leftover then i'll have a snack after dinner.
As far as going out, we don't go out often but when I do I try to plan out ahead of time what I'm going to eat. I'll look on the restaurant's website and see the WW points of things and decide from there. If a meal is a lot of points I split the meal in half as soon as I get it and ask the server to package up half for me to take home. I also don't deprive myself. If I want a mozzarella stick I'll have just one (instead of having 4 or 5) and then my meal.
I have low point snacks at home, salty ones, sweet ones, indulgent ones so when I want something I have something on hand.

Re: WW Mentality - maybe I'm going about this all wrong...
When I used to do WW, I used to feel the same way. I didn't want to eat meals that were over 5 points, but I learned over time when I did that, I was not feeling full and I spent more points on snacks than on meals and always felt hungry.
I changed it around to where I would have pretty high point meals for lunch and dinner. Sometimes I would skip breakfast and use those points for snacks instead. I'm not really a big breakfast person anyway, so that was not a big change for me. On the other hand, its pretty easy to have a big breakfast for a low amount of points if you preferred.
Breakfast: 4
Lunch: 8
Dinner: 10
Snacks: 3
Total 25 points
ANother thing I did was used my flex points spread out over 7 days unless I knew I had something coming up that I needed to save them for.

over time, it will get better. we go out to eat once a week. restaurants could modify dishes. if you see chicken that's grilled, you could ask for it grilled. have the sauce be put on the side. stay away from fried foods
