Overwater Bungalow Locations
I have seen people breath taking pictures of these from Bora Bora.
Are there any of these in other locations?
I am hoping there is a resort out there with over water bungalows that is also all-inclusive. (Or maybe I came up with a great idea)

Re: Overwater Bungalow Locations
I don't know any all inclusives that have OWB's.
This one is scheduled to open soon:Fiji
Here are some in the Maldives
soneva-gili
Hilton Maldives
Kuramathi Blue Lagoon
Here is one in Bermuda: 9 Beaches Bermuda I spoke one person on a message board that tried 9 Beaches instead of Bora Bora (she had been to BB before, but was looking for a cheaper OWB). She was so disappointed in 9 Beaches. Bermuda doesn't have the lagoons that Tahiti has, or the marine life. In addition, she said that the OWB's were set so high up from the water, it might as well have been a pier.
The Philippines also has OWB's, but like Bermuda, it is not a lagoon.

After looking at these exotic places I think a really nice OWB resort in the FL Keys would make a fortune!!!

I wish there was a resort that has OWB's closer than Tahiti and Bora Bora! We went there for our HM and it was amazing, but the reason they CAN have OWB's is because of the calm lagoons. If they built OWB's in FL they would be destroyed by the first hurricane (or big waves) that hit them.

Re: Overwater Bungalow Locations
this hotel is in the cliffs of Negril- I ate @ thier restaurant, it was good
Its closer and cheaper- good luck
ETA- they are not over the water on stilts but the villas have a ladder right into that crystal clear water for snorkeling
ETA more- they are on the water the negril beaches are a quick 5min ride away- this resort is located on the cliffs. I saw the villas- they were so cool how you just go right down the ladder into that water

Re: Overwater Bungalow Locations
WARNING! We went to 9 Beaches in Bermuda....stay away! This is the FARTHEST from romantic and "Bora Bora" you can get! We were to stay there for our honeymoon this past June, we didn't even stay 1 night! It's LONG icky story. FM if you want the whole story. It is slightly glorified camping!

Re: Overwater Bungalow Locations
There is a Palace Resort in Mexico called X-Pu Ha... it is all inclusive and they have little huts... but I am not sure if they are over water... It is supposed to be beautiful though!
