Re: when did you get rid of...
I still have both my strollers but my kids have not been in a stroller since age 2.
I've only been saving them for Disney... we were supposed to have gone already but DH's career has been hit hard by this recession... looks like we are back on track for late this August (fingers crossed) and after that trip I'll get rid of both of my doubles

My son is 6 and my daughter is 4. At this point I only have the cheap foldable umbrella stroller for her.

Re: when did you get rid of...
My son is five and I saved mine just because it was buried in the garage. We unearthed it for Disney this year and I was so glad I had it! I'll probably hold onto it for a little while longer.

I have the LAZIEST girl in the world...A match! If I pulled the stroller she would whine for us to carry her and I cant do that. She will walk for periods and then tire out. This should be interesting when baby #2 arrives. I am considering a sit n stand with the bench on the back. We also go to disney alot so I am sure we will need it then as well.

we had the sit and stand and he would sit on top of DD because he wanted to be in the front... and at the time she was too young to be in the back... lol... the other day we went to the park with the cousins.... my DS 3.8, his cousin #1 3.2, cousin #2 who is 2 & DD who is 21.5 months old... guess who sat in the ONLY stroller we used when we took a walk to look at the boats... lol thats right my DS...

Re: when did you get rid of...
DS just turned 3 and while I bring it every time I go to the mall he NEVER sits in it. Usually my bag and the jackets end up in it. I bring it "just in case" I can't handle him and I need to strap him down. He seems to be done w/ it I don't know when I will be

Re: when did you get rid of...
My DD will be 5 in June. I still have my maclaren in the car. She has her moments where she is tired and doesnt feel like walking and its just easier to pop her in it and go in the store then worry about her being whiny to carry her. She likes her stroller. I go weeks without using it and then may use it a few days in a row...just depends. She starts K in the fall and I keep wondering if I should get rid of it, but honestly, its helpful sometimes so whatever.

Re: when did you get rid of...
DD is going to be 4 soon and I just got a new MacLaren umbrella stroller. She wants to be on daddy's shoulders, or complains when we walk. Since I like to take the dog for walks in the park, and we will be going to Chicago without DH, I thought it a good investment.
So......I will probably hold onto this one for a while. Generally she doesn't use one though (mall, shopping, etc).

Re: when did you get rid of...
My DS is almost 3.5 and I still use it a lot. He's a runner, though, and I can't really shop with him unless he is in a stroller or a shopping cart.
I would plan on using it for a while longer, but he is also very tall and will outgrow it very soon. I am not sure what we will do then.

Re: when did you get rid of...
DD is 4, DS is almost 4. We really don't use the strollers. I have 1 umbrella that reclines that I keep for vacations or fairs. Whenever we do something with a lot of walking.

Re: when did you get rid of...
My youngest is 5 and my husband in cleaning out the garage, threw out my last stroller, so I guess it is of no use to us anymore My son hasn't used one in a long time and he actually prefers to be on dad's shoulders if he is too tired to walk. We did Disney in December and only rented one for one day!

Re: when did you get rid of...
I just gave away my last stroller a few months ago, my youngest will be 5 next month. But he hadn't used it in over a year, I kept hanging onto it just in case but I finally gave it up. So 3 1/2 - 4. Though IMO t depends on the kid and the amount of other kids you have in tow on a regular basis though.

Maybe that's a sign you need another one so you can use the stroller again
