Support Groups
I am sure that this has been posted a number of times, but I can't seem to find the answer I am looking for. I have emailed Little Village a number of times since I saw that they have a group and since my DD had an evaluation there, but have never gotten a response. What support groups are there in Nassau County in the evening for what looks like it will be ASD dx?

i am seeing my Speech Therapist tonight (she is from LV) i will ask her about it... as for other support groups, check out your local SEPTA chapters

Long Island Families Together (LIFT) offers several support groups - maybe one of these would offer what you are looking for?

When I googled autism support group long island there is one that meets the first Thursday of each month at the Jewish center on manetto hill in plain view. Think next meeting is may 5.

call LV and ask them about the group. it is usually for those who attend the school or who receive services through them. but since you had your evals done, you may be eligible.

Some JCCs have groups, but I'm not sure all of them do.
