My company is looking for a couple of Web Application Developers. Just out of college - 2 years experience works.l

Here's the job description:

The Web Developer is a member of the PS division. He/she must be experienced in Web application development, design and implementation. He/she must also have data analysis and testing experience. The Web Developer must be able to identify client issues and communicate them to Senior Web Developers. The Web Developer will work under the supervision of a more Senior Web Developer or Project Manager. He/she will complete tasks assigned to him by project leaders. The Web Developer must communicate to the project leaders as needed of accomplishments of tasks and/or issues completing a task.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Ability to work from specifications to develop applications and solutions of simple-moderately technical/complex nature using JEE technologies. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to, coding, testing, debugging and documenting developed solutions.
Possess the ability to quickly develop new skills as necessary for project delivery.

Develop a working knowledge of company’s PMG.

Recognize and help exploit business opportunities and pass the appropriate information to branch or regional management.

Must submit weekly status reports.
Process in a complete and timely fashion forms to track hours, expense reports, and other required forms as defined by company guidelines.

Must be willing and able to travel as necessary.

Must be well groomed and dress in neat, professional business attire.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors Degree (B.S. or B.A.) in a technical or business field; or equivalent work-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work background should include experience in a technical consulting or engineering environment.

A minimum of two (2) years previous experience in a position involving application development and maintenance.

Ability to work within the Eclipse IDE, integrated with version control software such as Apache Subversion.

Experience with ORM tools like Hibernate or EclipseLink, as well as the Spring Framework.

Understanding of JPA and how to map object to database through annotations or orm.xml.

Experience using an MVC development framework with JSP, such as Struts (JSF preferred).

Functional knowledge of Java, XML, HTML, and JavaScript.

Exposure to a least one Relational Database Management System, with exposure to Oracle a plus.

Familiarity with WebServices a plus
Ability to write solid documentation that supports the coding and project management effort.

Experience in applying project management principles via formal methodology, and using the associated tools and techniques.

Sound customer relations skills and the ability to work with demanding clients.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
