Sitting in the front seat?
My DD met a friend at gymnastics and her mom has a small two-seater Mercedes convertible (only child and parents are divorced). Mom drives DD around in the front seat, in a booster seat. Is this safe??? Everything I ever read said that children should remain in the back seat until age 13. I really don't understand this mom's thinking.
Thoughts?

Two seaters have exemptions. The DMV doesn't want to dictate that you HAVE to buy a new car just because you have kids. There should be a way to turn off the airbags in the passenger seat, to not injure the smaller person there.
Pickups have the same issue.

My children will never be in the front seat until they are AT LEAST 13.
