Low back pain? Pinch nerve? Who do I see?
I hurt my back about 3 weeks ago. I was litterally leaning to the right and everything was shifted (so wierd). For a week the pain was really bad, a lot of shooting pain. I went to the chiro (adjustments and massage) and accupuncture. I am definetly a lot better but still have low back weakness and now the last few days I am getting pains in mys calves and ankles , sometimes thighs. . Shooting pains and they are happening often. They hurt. It must be a nerve?
So what do I do? What type of Dr do i see? Orthopedic? Neurologist? Any recs? What is the treatmet for this,
I need to get back to feeling good.
TIA

Re: Low back pain? Pinch nerve? Who do I see?
Go to an orthopedist.
I recently dealt with a pinched nerve - the pain spread down my arm and part of my hand was numb for six weeks.
My doc suggested rest - I rested for 2 weeks. Didn't do a thing.
I had an MRI and then he prescribed me something that alleviated the numbness. I have full use of my arm and hand again but my neck pain (from which this all originated) hasn't fully gone away.
They may also suggest a cortisone injection. I was scheduled for one till the medicine kicked in.
But get to an orthopedist. It will help a lot.

If you can find an orthopedist who deals with pain management that's better for you.
My first orthopedist had to send me to one of his colleagues because he didn't do injections, etc.
Good luck. It's SUCKS to be pain
