Luteal phase
I need someone to reassure me that I am not going out of my mind!
My SIL just finished medical school. Somehow we got on the topic of TTC last night and she told me that EVERY woman has a 14 day LP  .
I say no way - my LP is anywhere from 9 to 12 days. She said that is impossible, every woman must have a 14 day LP.
Who's right??

exactly!! She was arguing with me that I was wrong - every woman MUST have a 14 day LP.
And the worse part - that question was on her medical boards test

Yikes! According to all I've read, just like everything else with women's cycles, there are variances. I wonder if she also thinks all women ovulate on day 14!

Fertility Friend also had info on the LP, and stated that it varied in length.

That's definitely not true. I only had a 11-12 day LP. So much for medical school!

Your LP is the days from ovulation to menstruation.

Mine was less than 10 days, so my Dr gave me progesterone.

thanks ladies!! I was so annoyed last night, she was acting like I was an idiot!
And I know if we have issues TTC, she is going to throw this back into my face.
