Vampire Academy

Did anyone not like it? Does it get better?

Finished the 1st one last night and am not sure I want to continue, I had to skip some pages at the end b/c I just wanted to finish it.

I read so many good reviews of the series on here, that IDK why I didnt really get into it?

Yes! Don't judge the series by the 1st book. I really wasn't into the 1st book I had to push myself to get through it. I almost gave up on the series but I'm so glad I didn't. Book 2 was good, much better than the first one but books 3 - 6 were just amazing.

Yes. Wasn't in love with the first book but wanted to keep reading to see what happened. SO glad I did.
What I have found with almost all the series I've read, especially ones longer than just 3 books is that the first book is a lot of necessary background information but not really the heart of the story. These authors go in knowing they are writing a series so I think I've learned to not expect a lot from the first book but to push through it.
I think you will be glad you keep reading.

it definitely gets better. I am on the last one and i'm dragging it out. I honestly don't know what I will do with myself once it's over.
