Does your EI service coordinator schedule/coordinate the review meetings or do you?
DS's year is ending the end of June and the service coordinator emailed me to ask me to speak with his therapists (he has 3) and to schedule a date for his annual review and then let her know the date to then see if she's available.
Am I misinformed that being her title is coordinator this would fall under her responsibility? I don't have any of their emails and only see 2 of them once a week. To try and figure out a date and go back and forth could take forever. Yes, I suppose I could ask them for their emails when I see them and go from there, but she communicates with them via email already and could easily coordinate a date with all of them (including her) in one email conversation.
Is this indeed my responsibility or hers?

Are you talking about your IEP done every 6 months? Only 1 therapist came and that was our team leader. I did a courtesy to tell her but the EI is supposed to contact the agencies of all your therapists (if you have more than 1 agency) and schedule with them.
I know things fall through the cracks all the time so I made sure to inform my team leader.

No, no IEP yet (I don't think). DS is 2, so I think it's called his IFSP at this point. This is for his annual review. He will continue to receive services I'm sure as he's still nonverbal, but his service coordinator said it is still required to have an annual review with as many of his therapists as can attend. It would just be in my home. I believe they are all from the same agency.
I have no issue having the review, just wondering why it's not the service coordinator's job to....'coordinate' it, and she's put it on me. But if this is the way it is then now I know. When I mentioned this to 2 of my therapists they both were kind of like  , why is she asking you to do it? (without actually saying it).

our CS usually gave us two dates that she was available and said to speak with the team leader to see which one was better and then just notify the other therapists. but if you dont have a team leader, then i would pick a date and let them know.
my CS was the best, but ultimately its up to you to find a date that would work best for you and let your therapists know as our well as your CS

Our "on going/leader" gets in touch with the other therapists, picks a date, and let's the coordinator know which date was chosen.
The "ongoing" asks me if the date she chose is good.

Usually the coordinator will make the meeting during one of the therapists regular scheduled session. she probably just wants to see which therapists schedule is more convient for everyone.

Sorry! I meant your IFSP.
I never had all my therapists present. I am in Nassau. Only my EI service coordinator and the team leader of our team. All the other therapists had to write their report, submit to their agency which was sent to the EI service coordinator.
I had an IFSP every 6 months in Nassau.
Are you in Nassau or Suffolk?

Neither, I'm in NJ. I don't have a team leader...not sure if they do that here.

This is kind of how I assumed it worked. Two of his therapists work in schools full time and the other just does EI. I guess I just figured since they already all communicate wiith each other through the service coordinator why couldn't they just figure out a date that works and tell me what it is. I do so much freakin coordinating with all of them as it is when it comes to scheduling/rescheduling his actual sessions.
This is DS's first full year so I'm still figuring out all the finer points. Thanks everyone for your input.

We only met with the service coordinator. Both my DH and I work FT and finding a time just for the 2 of us to meet and the service coordinator was tricky enough. I think I told the other therapists when the meetings were, but they didn't attend. The only exception was when he got a diagnosis, and he was about to start ABA, the child psychologist did come to go over the diagnosis and her recommendations.
Our service coordinator was wonderful, though, so I never felt like I needed the therapists there to justify anything for us.
