C25K peeps...
I started on week 4 a few days ago and it all of a sudden got really difficult. It seems like I was breezing by the other weeks, even continuing to run after the beep. Then I came to Florida to visit family and it's been SO HARD!!! Do you think it's the program, or possibly the heat & humidity? I've lived in FL pretty much my entire life and I have no problem with the weather, is it just a week 4 thing? Any advice? I'm running either at 10/11am or 4pm, it's the only time I can go because I have DS in the stroller and no one to watch him.

Re: C25K peeps...
why don't you run at night after T goes to sleep or wake up early before heat/humidity sets in? then your family can stay with him & you can just worry about running.

Re: C25K peeps...
It's definitely the heat. My pace was almost 30 seconds slower per mile yesterday because of the heat. (I just finished week 6).

Yes it can definitely be the heat! But if you don't feel ready to move on, then its totally fine to repeat a week

Heat could have a lot to do with it. I run much slower in the summer! Try running at night or early am and you can always repeat the week if you have to!

Re: C25K peeps...
I'm on week 4 now too. I've been on week 4 for 3 weeks because I went on vacation, then I had a nasty cold for almost a week. I just keep doing the week 4 runs because I don't feel comfortable enough to move on to week 5. I'm still struggling through the 5min runs. I also ran slower last night than I usually do because it was warm.

I won't run close to/after dark because i'm afraid of getting eaten by an alligator (they're all over because my parents live in the sticks) or chased by a loose dog. As it is I have to drive to town to go running because of the dogs.

Hate to laugh but wow! You have some motivation down there! But holy crow, alligators are just roaming? How the heck do you sleep at night?!?!

When it's all you've ever known you get used to it If you think the alligators are bad, wait until I tell you about the snake that lived in our bathtub drain when I was a kid!!! Thank God my parents don't live at that house anymore!!!

I am sorry but this made me laugh as well! It's just not something I ever thought about.
It's a good thing you drive to town to run.

I feel like week 4 is really hard. I've been stuck there for a while b/c I never stay consistent and move past it.
