Why is it

So exspensive to put a dog down my dog is really old and her hips are going she is starting to have trouble walking I called a few vets and they are so exspensive this is such a stressful and emotional decision to have to make and now on top of that I have to stress where I'm going to scrap up the money to do it I just feel sick thinking that she might be in pain and I have to make her wait till I can come up with the money if anyone knows of a place that does it cheaper please let me know

I think when we did it it was about $350 but thats because we wanted our dog cremated alone and we got his ashes back.

We did it at an emergency vet so maybe call around to emergency vets and do it during the day so you do not get charged extra for after hours.

Try the humaine society... they seem to do everything cheaper than a regular vet!

Check with your town shelter. I was just on the town of oyster bay website and they do a humane euthenasia for $65. I'm so sorry you are going through this.
