Does anyone do the autism walk?
I know Autism Speaks isn't a very well liked organization but just curious if anyone participates in their walk..

I did NYC this past month (we didn't know there was a LI walk until after we registered). We are also doing the Long Island one.

Thank you very much! I should look into the Nantucket one for next year. My SIL is 30-minutes from there.

I'm sorry - I didn't see your previous post. I've only heard a few negative things about them in regards to the high salaries that they pay their CEO and the executives below them.. It's suggested that more of the donations that are made go to salaries than research. I don't know the truth to this, but overall I am happy with many of the things that Autism Speaks does. Namely their tool kits ( the 100 Day kit was my bible this winter ) and their advocates for insurance benefit information.

I do the Autism Walk at Jones Beach every year. The school that I work for as an ABA teacher organizes a team. It's a really nice day!
