Re: So Lieiters a Yankee

LOL.... have you seen how Yankee rookie pitchers have fared this year?

With the exception of Wang... they have sucked hard.

Leiter is the next best alternative.

Re: So Lieiters a Yankee

I think the Yankees had no choice but to do this right now. It was either Leiter starting tonight or a rookie. I think this is the best option available. They'll make a trade for a better starter by the deadline but for now Go Al!!

I have to agree somewhat. It would be nice to start cultivating some younger superstars instead of buying older ones.

But i am happy to have him...

Re: So Leiiters a Yankee

well I cannot say that I am overwhelming thrilled to have AL, but really there were slim pickins out there.. and we desparately need SOMEONE ..

Hopefully he can do us more good than not, that's all I'm asking..

So I have started practicing "GO AL" chants around the house, (esp. to annoy DH Chat Icon) .

2 innings down in pinstripes so far.. GO AL, GO AL Chat Icon

I'm just wondering because I hear a lot of people say they need youth, who would you like them to get? Mid season, not much to trade. What options do the Yankees have right now?
