Hershey Park

Question... Is it worth $279 per night at the Hershey Lodge... Here is my issue - We are going for two nights - Its DH's company picnic - They only pay for the BBQ food and admission - If we stay its up to us to pick up the cost - now we were going to stay in Bird in Hand its about 45-min away is it worth saving $120 night for the traveling back and forth and gas prices ??

What is your opinion ???

There are more hotels that are closer to the parks themselves but aren't technically in Hershey. I believe we stayed at a Wyngate and it was only about 10 minutes away from the park without traffic. I'll ask DH if he remembers the specifics. I never stayed at the Hershey Lodge but we did stay at the Hershey Hotel once. It wss really nice. Have a great trip no matter where you stay!

I agree---we stayed at a holiday inn express (i think it was that) about 5 minutes away. I have stayed at Bird-in-Hand but Lancaster is a little far. I would try to find something nicer.

The Hershey Lodge is nice--we have stayed there--but ther holiday in was nice too, pool and everything for half the $.

The Hershey Lodge is nice...and the Hershey Hotel is just beautiful...

But, there are soooo many hotels in the immediate area. We stayed at a Marriott and it was nice.

We have been going to Hershey Park every summer for the last 7 years....The first 5 years, we stayed right outside of Hershey and then 2 years ago, we stayed at the Hershey Lodge for the first time...Now, we will never stay anywhere else but the Hershey Lodge...In my opinion, it is worth it to stay there....I love it there!!!!! Some advice, when we booked our room, we called and my husband was able to negotiate a better price than what they had on the internet.
