Today's Reciipe 7-26-06
Easy but delicious....
Pasta Fagiole
1 box of Ditalini Pasta
2 cans of Canellini Beans
1 small can of tomato paste
2 small cans of chicken broth
A handful of fresh chopped parsley
2 bay leaves
1 tablespoon of fresh chopped basil
A sprinkle of red pepper flakes
Salt and pepper
3 cans of water-use chicken broth can
4 sweet italian sausages, casing removed
Add water, chicken broth, and tomato paste to pot. Heat to a boil.
Add canellini beans, parsley, basil, bay leaves, crushed red pepper flakes, and salt and pepper. Boil on medium heat.
In a frying pan, brown sausage, and add to pot. Drain grease before adding.
Boil water in a seperate pot for pasta.
Boil pasta for only 5 minutes. Add to other pot. Let simmer for 25 minutes on low heat.
Serve with grated cheese on top.
Enjoy!
