Got a new job after being exxcessed!A bit long
I was told on the last day I probably wouldnt be excessed. Last Wednesday I get an automated email from the city saying.. "Now that you have been excessed heres what you shoudl do..." I called my prinicpal who apologized and said I was placed in excess but he was appealing the budget so he wasnt going to worry me for no reason and had no idea an automated letter would be generated. So I started applying to jobs right away while I waited to hear for sure my status. I interviewed Friday( day after I sent resume) at a shcool in the same district as my old school. I found out Tuesday that I was excessed for sure and I contacted the principal who I intereviewed with to let him know. He called to say I got the job! Its 3rd grade ctt position. i am the gen ed teacher. I am so thankful, nervous and excited and at the same time sad to leve the school I have been for 9 years.

Congrats..that is such great news!!! I also just got hired at a new school after being in the same school for 9 years. I am sad, nervous, and excited all at the same time!! Good luck!!
