Saw the Land's End backpacks at Sears....
and I can say is that I DO NOT like them AT ALL!!! I was VERY surprised? They were actually on the small side and very flimsy looking? The boys didn't like them either. From such raves from everyone, I'm very disappointed?
Anyone else disappointed?
Anyway, my boys both found a backpack they love, for much cheaper while we were in Sears and in JCPenney and they're both camoflauge. They seem to be made much sturdier, but we'll see.

Re: Saw the Land's End backpacks at Sears....
I would have to see them in person so say if the quality has changed. I bought 2 in the past 2 years for my son & daughter and they are excellent quality. I need a BP for my soon to be Kindergartener (!!!) so it's disappointing if they've gone downhill.

Re: Saw the Land's End backpacks at Sears....
I have never been disappointed. My kids still have their LE backpacks from 4 years ago that look awesome! They'd still be using them if they weren't too small for their needs now.
My DS has the Study Haul back pack and will use it again next school year. My DD has the smaller Small Haul backpack and will also use it again (she's going into K).
ETA: I just read the reviews on the current Study Haul and Small Haul bags and it seems as if they changed the design! Lots of complaints of it being too small, which I did not find at all. I guess it's best to see them in person. Or as always, free returns in any sears stores, even if personalized!

Re: Saw the Land's End backpacks at Sears....
I have no idea how they used to be but in person now, they're so thin? I can't see them lasting at all? The character backpacks even seem sturdier. Weird, I know. We got other brands a lot cheaper and they're so much heavier material and better quality. They could have changed them since everyone is changing them to save money.
ETA: If anyone else sees them in person let me know what you think. I'm curious because I can't compare them to previous years. Thanks!

Re: Saw the Land's End backpacks at Sears....
I got a Lands End catalog in the mail today after I saw this post and I think the one you saw was the Featherlight, they made of ripstop nylon and are thinner nylon. It's a very durable material, luggage is made from ripstop nylon bc it's really hard to tear.
The regular backpacks look just like the ones I have for my kids. Honestly, I think they are really well made, I don't think you would be disappointed bc if they rip or get damaged, LE will replace it. They claim the featherweights are HTH
