Some of those images were sad.

I started to smirk when I saw French fries in France.. but they also had mussels and artichokes! I am jealous!

I'm also convinced they took the worst of the worst lunches for the US. Not saying they aren't bad.. but those looked vile.

It seemed very slanted against US lunches. I've seen much better lunches in the US, and I would guarantee that there are thousands of schools in other countries with horrible meals.

That's the beauty of writing your own article. You can make it say anything you want.

It's not to say that we shouldn't do better for our kids, but I don't think this article is very useful.

Funny how perceptions go. I didn't see it as slanted in one direction at all.

hmm...we moved around a lot.
I had school lunch in NY, Seattle, Tampa, Maine...

Cardboard pizza and chocolate milk seemed to be the staple of all of them.
Hamburger and fries.
the "fruit" at times was often orange or apple juice.

I am addicted to jamie oliver's food revolution. So...I tend to see this as a truthful assessment.

I never saw rice and beans on any tray of any school I attended.

I am such a fan of rice and beans for my kids. cheap, easy and healthy.

So much prepackaged food in the US lunch. Is it really like that?

It's so sad for the children only eating rice, but most seem to get a good lunch in schools.
