Just started one last year, in addition to my state-run 401k. I thought it was important to have that extra account. No pensions for teachers in NC. Chat Icon

Yes, I think it would be foolish not to have one especially with pensions being attacked.

For the person who said "What is a 403B plan?"

It is more or less a 401K, but it is only available to tax-exempt organizations, the most common of which are schools, hospitals, and religious groups.
