Just been one of those days......

Do you ever feel like once you take 2 steps ahead you then take 2 steps back? Emma had absolutely no problem starting summer school after 2 weeks off ( she goes to the same school year round-Children's Readiness Center). All I had to do was say we are going to school and she'd get in the car no problem and actually run into school and have really great days.
We then went to Disney and she was out of school for a week. The Monday she returned to school: no problems. Then Tuesday came and she didnt want to get dressed and kind of gave us a hard time going. She came down with a bad cold on Friday so we kept her home. But yesterday and today just have been hard...getting dressed, in the car, in school and while her days at school havent been terrible; they have been very inconsistant. Just wanted to vent. It just felt like we were on a good roll and now I feel like we went back.

We knew it would be hard after coming back from Disney. Took DS 1 week to go back to normal.

I feel your pain though. DS' just ripped the curtain rod off the wall in a tamper tantrum. That's after he had a melt down within 2 minutes of coming into the house after the bus dropped him off. Glad to hear from the bus driver that he was having a giggle great time in the bus.

I had one of those yesterday when we went to the dentist with DS who is 3 and PDD. What a freaking NIGHTMARE. It was the kind where everyone is staring at you and your child. We've always had such an easy time with him in public. Had a good cry on the way home and a lot of comfort food.

So sorry to steal your venting post. Just wanted to let you know that we can definitely relate.
