Anyone use Playtex drop-in bottles
I've heard so any great things, I'm registering for these. How many bottles do I need? I registered for 2 of the gift set starter kits which have 5 bottles each. Is 10 bottles enough for both babies? I also registered for liners? I figured I'll buy some extra slow-flow nipples (the kit comes with 1 or 2 I think).
Just trying to figure out what I need. Thanks!

i had enough to makes a days worth of bottles. which was 8 or so each in the beginning. i would say 5 is a good start and if they like them and you stick with it pick up a few more.

Re: Anyone use Playtex drop-in bottles
We used them in the beginning. But DS had a HORRIBLE gas problem and DD needed a smaller nipple due to some eating issues she had so we switched to Dr. Browns. The drop-ins are good for gas but DS did better on the Dr Browns. If your babies take well to the playtex drop ins, that's awesome. For right now, the 2 sets should be ok if you are not going to make bottles in advance. I would just get a bunch of extra nipples. But if you are going to make bottles in advance for the day, i would maybe get 1 more set. Or, you can always make the formula for the day in a pitcher and leave that in the fridge. I loved the drop ins because I was not constantly washing bottles. I would throw the liner away, rinse the bottle and ring and use another liner and nipple for the next feeding. Or when you go out, all you need is 1 bottle each , a bunch of liners and nipples and you're good to go. Now when we go out for the day, i have anywhere from 2-4 bottles each baby depending on how long we'll be. Takes up so much room. I need 2 bottle bags! I hope your babies do well with the drop-ins

Re: Anyone use Playtex drop-in bottles
Sorry to crash, but if you are using the drop ins and you need some 4oz ones let me know! I have a TON of them as I used them for both my sons but my youngest has outgrown the small ones so I dont need to keep them all! So if you would like them they are yours. I would just say get new nipples

Thank you so much Kelly for the offer. I did get quite a few for my shower. How many do you think I need.

Re: Anyone use Playtex drop-in bottles
i use 6 and feels its enough. target and waldbaums and bj's have store brand drop ins they work great and are cheaper. bjs has the best bargain on them. just make sure you always have a back up box in case you dont u realize your are running low. i did have quite a few nipples- slow then medium at around 5/6 months. probably about 10 of each flow. I didnt like the fast b/c they drink the milk too quick and would get upset they were done.
