Is this odd?
I was called in for a job interview this week. It seems as if they may have multiple positions open within the district and could not tell me what position I was interviewing for. I asked if they had a time line of when they would be contacting those they are interested in, and they said they're hoping to contact them within two weeks.
They have tenure track, leave replacements and per diem subs open. My interview was with a few administrators, so I do not think it would be a per diem interview. In my thank you letter to those I met with, I mentioned again that I am interested in a teacher or leave replacement position. (I've been subbing for 2 years and was hoping to not be considered for a per diem position).
TIA! I have my fingers crossed tightly for this one.

Re: Is this odd?
I don't think its odd...in my district they interview a group of elementary candidates and then decide where they are sending them (tenure, leave, etc.). They don't usually interview that way for per diem, but if they don't choose a candidate for a position, they may offer them that type of position.

Re: Is this odd?
That's what I had thought, but everyone else waiting to be interviews was freaking out so it made me nervous too, haha I figured it was just standard and since they are year long leaves, they would just interview everyone at once and decide who to put into the leaves & tenure track positions after the interview.
